Our new Reception students will be invited to attend our extended transition program the term before they are due to start. They will meet their teacher, other new students and be welcomed by our existing students. Parents will also be invited to stay on the first visit to learn about life at St Bernadette's, meet other parents and be welcomed into our Community.
Transition enables new students to familiarise themselves with the school, classroom routines, meet other students and build relationship with staff. This helps them to feel comfortable in their new surroundings from the moment they start.
